Reminder: All appointments are 45 minutes long and begin on the hour.

Monday thru Thursday: 10am-9pm 

Sunday: 3pm-8pm

Friday and Saturday: Closed

One-time registration  To get started, register for an account by clicking the link to the left. Anyone who uses the DEWC must be registered with our record-keeping and scheduling system before seeing a consultant. This includes Spanish tutoring. You must use your SU email, ID#, and password to register.

What types of consultations does the DEWC offer? 

In-Person (Face to Face) Writers can schedule in-person appointments held in the DEWC for 45 minute, one-on-one sessions with a consultant.  We will work within CDC and University provided Covid-19 guidelines for all in-person visits.

Video Conferencing (Online)  Similar to Zoom and Google Meet, writers will be able to schedule and virtually meet one-on-one with a consultant all within our scheduling platform. A microphone and webcam are necessary for this style of consultation. This type of consultation is great when you are in any part of the writing process, from unpacking the prompt to final reads and revisions.

Spanish Tutoring  Paola Pena is available to help with all Spanish course assignments; while Allie Anderson and Noor Nazeer are available to assist with Spanish 1-3 coursework. Look for their names on the Spring Spanish Tutoring schedule if you would like to see them for Spanish tutoring.  They'll be happy to assist!  

STEM Writers.  The DEWC is now conducting its ongoing STEM Pilot Program with consultants in training who will be available to assist you with the specific conventions of writing in a variety of STEM disciplines.  If you need STEM specific assistance during a consultation, be sure to indicate so when scheduling your appointment.
